I did try and persevere with it to see if it would grow on me after all super-short hair isn't something you can get used to straight away when you've always had long hair! <br /><br />The last time I had it cut was Christmas eve ... naughty, I know! ... and after that I decided I was definitely going to grow it out. Growing it out has been a bit of a nightmare because my hair was different lengths but I have been trimming the one side myself so that it's more or less even. I know I should probably go to a hair dressers rather than do it myself but I'm scared that they'll take too much off. It's already taking ages to grow out! I have to say though, considering I haven't had it cut in as long it is in surprisingly good condition. It feels soft, looks shiny and has very few split ends, so something good has come out chopping it all off :) <br /><br />This is how long my hair currently is - cue pouting, posing pic!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGIcMc_GySxPRaw6q3NphhaqGWEN_bHIwiAXEhWW9KUecDZpTHvRObnmTeISScTGFT-g3XQipojox8j0HDn1wkFRo_gO3FFd8ilSJBRloFQJ8NNPix9q1YHfZ829Fyoi7IOSwURJ72jeo/s1600/kk.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGIcMc_GySxPRaw6q3NphhaqGWEN_bHIwiAXEhWW9KUecDZpTHvRObnmTeISScTGFT-g3XQipojox8j0HDn1wkFRo_gO3FFd8ilSJBRloFQJ8NNPix9q1YHfZ829Fyoi7IOSwURJ72jeo/s400/kk.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5624980160098317074" /></a><br /><br />I'm giving it another 6 weeks it will be past my shoulders then I'm definitely going to go for a (little) trim. All in all I have to say that while it I regretted it it hasn't been the worst haircut I've ever had and I probably still haven't learned my lesson, but for now, bring on the long hair!!!<br /><br />XxLisa xhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10242324029868316354noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657122566024838494.post-80216308532062176642011-05-26T18:06:00.004+01:002011-05-26T18:24:58.633+01:00What's your gymspiration?<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxzvCVR7wCVn8GU6rCBHfO7brXlKKiZvZxlqiSPN1JlN0Mxa-RxMScTih9f4_EVaFr_XvIiqToMppPpSI6bLD5CDGcEzl9WRGRoQNL0rxRlaRAQhjzLV3dy0KWzRAwSssEHwz_qb2t4oE/s1600/IMG_1580.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxzvCVR7wCVn8GU6rCBHfO7brXlKKiZvZxlqiSPN1JlN0Mxa-RxMScTih9f4_EVaFr_XvIiqToMppPpSI6bLD5CDGcEzl9WRGRoQNL0rxRlaRAQhjzLV3dy0KWzRAwSssEHwz_qb2t4oE/s400/IMG_1580.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5611076182480827154" /></a><br /><br />This is mine. I got this as part of the Nails inc 'Greige Collection'. I know that nails inc gave this polish away free in Glamour and as part of the Diet Coke promotion but I missed both!<br /><br />In the bottle I thought Jermyn Street looked much like Essie's 'Mink muff' so always chose that. Yesterday however, I decided to give this a go and I'm glad that I did. I much prefer Jermyn Street to Mink Muff and it doesn't look anything like mink muff when applied. It's a gorgeous taupe/mud colour with a slight lilac undertone. I love it and can't believe it took me so long to discover it! It makes me wonder what other nail polishes I have that I've overlooked.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAneVdgG75OmC9FM9RB7p8Yl-zPpFuA-LzLYGzfRaxBl7_BR9KjYoIdrDhy9kHHMy3EDuKOEh1wcgl2m_VG1E1vIncrOjjWNi_UM7Cp5KD6AghFYenbBzOHQymmIBWx8nd7VAjTg-n518/s1600/RSCN0138.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAneVdgG75OmC9FM9RB7p8Yl-zPpFuA-LzLYGzfRaxBl7_BR9KjYoIdrDhy9kHHMy3EDuKOEh1wcgl2m_VG1E1vIncrOjjWNi_UM7Cp5KD6AghFYenbBzOHQymmIBWx8nd7VAjTg-n518/s400/RSCN0138.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5558533727105297490" /></a>Lisa xhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10242324029868316354noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657122566024838494.post-84500748256757555542011-01-03T20:39:00.005+00:002011-01-03T20:45:32.025+00:00The winner of the Giveaway is...<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTv1aQL0omPgs-C5TQlqUagcMJ98kR1VqYuA0QN-_Z6Cx0B8gdibhnQCiUPtUA4kS7uyP9xBedwvrCatUweEmldqI-P3L0KllN_NPOn-oACnh0eI79Vb9nSU9IO7xAHC9PXv7JZIPJ1ds/s1600/Capture.PNG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 309px; height: 249px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTv1aQL0omPgs-C5TQlqUagcMJ98kR1VqYuA0QN-_Z6Cx0B8gdibhnQCiUPtUA4kS7uyP9xBedwvrCatUweEmldqI-P3L0KllN_NPOn-oACnh0eI79Vb9nSU9IO7xAHC9PXv7JZIPJ1ds/s400/Capture.PNG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5558062631726935506" /></a><br /><br />Caz @ <a href="http://thisiscaz.blogspot.com/">thisiscaz.blogspot.com</a><br /><br />Congratulations! xLisa xhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10242324029868316354noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657122566024838494.post-91945412482343833102011-01-01T17:06:00.003+00:002011-01-01T17:22:30.206+00:00Happy New Year!! It wasn't actually a bad year either...it was just a bit 'blah'...if you know what I mean? It was really uneventful and I didn't accomplish what I had planned so I'm looking forward to a new year and a new start and I do have a feeling though that 2011 is going to be a lot better! :)<br /><br />Last year I had a long list of resolutions and goals (which I do every year). 2010 has been my worst year for sticking to them, I done nothing! So this year I've decided I'm not making any resolutions. I will make small goals which I would like to work towards achieving. This is more likely to be successful for me! What about you? What are your resolutions and goals?<br /><br />I hope you all have a wonderful New Year. Where ever you are keep safe & warm and remember - Start to start your year the way you want it to go on!!<br /><br />And lastly, to everyone who has subscribed, commented and read this blog - It means a lot and I'll see you all in 2011!!<br /><br />Lisa xLisa xhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10242324029868316354noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657122566024838494.post-11960690403234477242010-12-30T23:26:00.004+00:002010-12-30T23:34:17.819+00:00Katy Perry with no make up!!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzKYAujZOd4Bc-3okjJVu3Lj2p_-tdsYwVyDjP6NuTSO5nYdU_DJl9UaFM4kDkDe5Hb8JYmBXjod8DRNxRStjXdllw3IcCaXIt6bTORClzNV0FkZbvqyQ2sySAe5S0FfZqg2YKvYM1lfc/s1600/123010_katy_perry_makeup_XXXX_.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzKYAujZOd4Bc-3okjJVu3Lj2p_-tdsYwVyDjP6NuTSO5nYdU_DJl9UaFM4kDkDe5Hb8JYmBXjod8DRNxRStjXdllw3IcCaXIt6bTORClzNV0FkZbvqyQ2sySAe5S0FfZqg2YKvYM1lfc/s400/123010_katy_perry_makeup_XXXX_.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5556622494542614178" /></a> (Source: www.hollywoodlife.com)<br /><br />I have to say I was shocked and relieved when I saw this picture on twitter. In fact, I'm still very much aware of my gap now and very rarely will I show my teeth in photos and so ironically this year I went to my dentist about having my gap closed. I was told that I had 2 options; I could have the gap filled or I could have veneers fitted although I was advised against the later as they're not recommended for healthy teeth. So for £100 a flaw (one of many) which I'm insecure about could be corrected. What was interesting though was that when I enquired about teeth whitening I was told I didn't need it - I do! It made me wonder then why he thought closing the gap seemed necessary? Perhaps I read too much into it, but it didn't help matters lol.<br /><br />My Gap...<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaxf6srTHqVSgg5X91VMBAKUjsaHr3ZvRMGuU59Zw9oW1l0QckFdgy43IcP6noN6zZBe4pLkfZMbiaejhx-58UdFZeU4mAbEUpT1YCubaavXoEMvj0noztbpE1Rs-YdiuJ3Uh7thPuwmE/s1600/n527010552_3612101_7010.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 190px; height: 288px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaxf6srTHqVSgg5X91VMBAKUjsaHr3ZvRMGuU59Zw9oW1l0QckFdgy43IcP6noN6zZBe4pLkfZMbiaejhx-58UdFZeU4mAbEUpT1YCubaavXoEMvj0noztbpE1Rs-YdiuJ3Uh7thPuwmE/s400/n527010552_3612101_7010.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5556327127011086002" /></a> <br /> <br />It's been 6 months since I went to see about having it closed and I still haven't taken the plunge. To be honest, as much as I hate I'm scared to lose it. I worry that I'll hate the look of my teeth when it's done; that they will look stupid; and I'm worried about losing something that makes me uniquely me. I have decided though that 2011 will be the year I make a decision once and for all and when I've made my decision that will be the end of it!<br /><br />So what do you guys think of the gap tooth trend? and most importantly, what would you do if you had one? I think she looks fabulous here. I love her hair, make-up, the shoes, the top and yes...even the leather shorts!<br /><br />I'm not usually a fan of leather shorts but I love how this delicate Vanessa Bruno top makes the look more feminine, balancing the 'edgy' look of the shorts and the open-toe Maison Margiela heels resulting in a really cute look that is far more wearable. <br /><br />I'm now developing fascination about leather shorts. I would never wear them, I couldn't pull them off in million years, but I'm curious how other people wear theirs. So I'm off to look for fashion blogs! :)Lisa xhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10242324029868316354noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657122566024838494.post-85064797649892054472010-12-18T01:13:00.004+00:002010-12-18T01:21:55.536+00:00New Beauty Forum LaunchedHey Girls,<br /><br />Today the lovely Emma <a href="http://thelifeofashoppingaddict.blogspot.com/2010/12/ukbeauty-forum.html">(Life Of A Shopping Addict)</a> launched a brand new UK beauty forum. <br /><br />On the forum you will find FOTD'S/Reviews/fashion/diet & nutrition tips and much more! I honestly don't think I'll ever tire of hearing it at Christmas, although my Dad assures me that I eventually will. I don't think there's another Christmas song that comes close. I bought this months ago and must have put it in the cupboard and forgot all about it. So out of sheer boredom I decided to apply it to see what it was like. I've used St Moriz mousse before and I do like it, I just have a problem with the consistency of it. I find that with each pump 75% of the formula will come out like mousse and the other 25% will be runny. So if you're anything like me, you just get into a mess! That's what puts me off the mousse.<br /><br />Anyway, If you read my post on <a href="http://xbeautifulinsideandoutx.blogspot.com/2010/11/right-now-im-loving.html">things I'm loving right now</a>, you would have noticed that number 1 on my list was 'embracing my paleness', which has obviously went right out the window (naughty me!). I did try and justify it by saying that it was for fair to medium skintones - a lot lighter than I usually use, but lets face it I'm a lot darker than I naturally am and I'm already thinking about the next application...I'm hooked!<br /><br />Personally, I think this may be my new favourite fake tan. The application was flawless and I have no patches, even my hands are fine!!<br /><br />Have you tried St Moriz mousse or mist? Which do you prefer?Lisa xhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10242324029868316354noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657122566024838494.post-36438912668072179482010-11-29T05:13:00.007+00:002010-11-29T05:51:58.137+00:00Long hair...oh how I miss you!!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-F_WnQo0eYaOSWMDBwJUyh4svhq8Xop1LOXEDfysrheCYwXAS50lOUw_9prm4XS9ugD9ULVY_2fJ8TsPxcIz7Nsfiu6OHeAJc5HTGjKq-JDqAZTFJXfYNp0lMKHJzQEU1bawY-4ms4Lc/s1600/Los%252BAngeles%252BConfidential%252BMagazine%252BAnnual%252BGolden%252BGuLXH0KxBjUl.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544840838765127010" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-F_WnQo0eYaOSWMDBwJUyh4svhq8Xop1LOXEDfysrheCYwXAS50lOUw_9prm4XS9ugD9ULVY_2fJ8TsPxcIz7Nsfiu6OHeAJc5HTGjKq-JDqAZTFJXfYNp0lMKHJzQEU1bawY-4ms4Lc/s400/Los%252BAngeles%252BConfidential%252BMagazine%252BAnnual%252BGolden%252BGuLXH0KxBjUl.jpg" /></a><br /><div><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbj2qN67lxeR5XDaqYrD3R5cO8iRaNTGtCYd14E6I_PERf_NvhNtl2prgLtekXmRNrfsYtGKFmpDLrcX_Sv8sreAr8vvjGPbzhmyctQDALENUluNPWIhSM1BmDHQeNw7t1N3l_FLrk4gM/s1600/tumblr_l4jpfj3AnJ1qcws2yo1_400.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544835750805556162" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbj2qN67lxeR5XDaqYrD3R5cO8iRaNTGtCYd14E6I_PERf_NvhNtl2prgLtekXmRNrfsYtGKFmpDLrcX_Sv8sreAr8vvjGPbzhmyctQDALENUluNPWIhSM1BmDHQeNw7t1N3l_FLrk4gM/s400/tumblr_l4jpfj3AnJ1qcws2yo1_400.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYM7g8slWRyAA_7lnq8K4P4G6-lDBqznt9mLfnVbKlbw-TY885QTBs_d9cC_ST964kQm6OV0nr_UrePjDi7tWrNkFOxhyphenhyphenr7gtrA7sjP5DQ7ONxqwX_GwQjEftuWaXqymGh2qxLi0f2Nm0/s1600/or_5b9cc398123203899320762.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 284px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544835720721096578" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYM7g8slWRyAA_7lnq8K4P4G6-lDBqznt9mLfnVbKlbw-TY885QTBs_d9cC_ST964kQm6OV0nr_UrePjDi7tWrNkFOxhyphenhyphenr7gtrA7sjP5DQ7ONxqwX_GwQjEftuWaXqymGh2qxLi0f2Nm0/s400/or_5b9cc398123203899320762.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTvlFzCn9s1oIqUJI6ZvmwcP6Q6FEbbAZ3Bhjq-baH0IHf2wOh073H-_JjXXwgmOiP49e7lyG30OCDVhwt0cDSvUhQph6N63EZkKayNvVt6xxngrw-Tw3EU2mK7f2MSfKYZRmRZpwq_lg/s1600/lauren-conrads-hollywood-updo.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544835717239071234" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTvlFzCn9s1oIqUJI6ZvmwcP6Q6FEbbAZ3Bhjq-baH0IHf2wOh073H-_JjXXwgmOiP49e7lyG30OCDVhwt0cDSvUhQph6N63EZkKayNvVt6xxngrw-Tw3EU2mK7f2MSfKYZRmRZpwq_lg/s400/lauren-conrads-hollywood-updo.jpg" /></a><br /><div>It's been just over 3 months since I decided to have all my hair chopped off to achieve a hairstyle similar to <a href="http://xbeautifulinsideandoutx.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html">Frankie <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">Sandford</span> </a>(the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">Saturdays</span>), and right now <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">I'm</span> really regretting it. At the time I did love it but deep down I always knew that I would probably regret doing it as growing it was going to be a long process and that it would be even harder since my hair is considerably shorter at one side! Usually my hair grows quite quickly and anytime I've had a bob <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">I've</span> been able to grow it out within about 6 months but just now my hair doesn't seem to be growing much at all and I have serious hair envy!! </div><br /><div><span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error">Everytime</span> I see someone with long hair I pine for my old hair! <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">ha ha</span>. Most people told me at the time not to do it but I thought my long hair was boring and I really wanted a change but I'm really bored with short hair, there's not really much you can do with. With long hair you have the option to curl, straighten, wave, wear it up, wear it down and if you're Cheryl Cole you can wear it like a bow if you desire! (Wasn't really a fan of that myself though)</div><br /><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5544840157354188914" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKnCs3inZ-zLNlpk4wO5vC-XnZljs1k8MaJUhsGT4tFB8kMyVee33KE3dGAxL59x8ZYvgm5a8tvQWhN9hb4REX6H03nOqJb2jXZ7sRsrj1Kh0UnRYKhwhjC3qHrS3SX5f6bPzfFjEf4ug/s400/Cheryl-Cole-Bow-Hair-do_jpg_e_742644eb773fdd467f65edf0ab1be8d2.jpg" /> </div><div>At the moment I'm seriously considering hair extensions but I don't really know much about them. I can 100% say that my hair will never be cut above my shoulders again. I'm very, <i>very</i> pale and for the last 6 years I've been somewhat tanorexic (although I have only used a sunbed twice! Donatella Versace has put me off 'natural' tanning) and applying fake tan has been compulsory! However, I'm currently having problems with my skin and fake tan seems to be exacerbating it so as it's winter and I can cover up more, it seemed like the perfect time to wean myself off fake tan. Not sure how long this will last though, it's been quite a struggle so far!</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Lipstick - </b>I've not really been a fan of lipstick. To be honest...it scares me! I'm always worried that I'll think that a colour will look good when really people will be thinking <i>'What the hell is she wearing?' </i>So I usually avoid it or I stick to colours that are the same as my natural lip colour - my perfect match is ELF mineral lipstick in 'nicely nude'. So to start off I've purchased 2 lipsticks from the Maybelline colorsensational range; the colours are 'Fatal red' and 'Delicate pearl' and I purchased 2 from the Rimmel Lasting Finish range in the colours 'Sweetie' and 'Asia'. I will do a review of these. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know!</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation - </b>I've tried this twice before and wasn't impressed at all. It was one of those products that didn't live up to the expectations I had about it and I couldn't make it work at all so I gave it to my Mum, who happens to love it! She recently bought a bottle that was too light for her so she gave it to me. Due to embracing my paleness the only foundations I had that matched my skin were this and Chanel Vitalumiere - which I do love but the coverage is light and the state my skin is in at the moment that's a no-go! So I had to opt for maybelline dream satin and I have to say I'm quite impressed. It doesn't give me 'flawless' skin but the coverage is quite good, my skin looks smoother and it gives it a nice glow.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Online shopping - </b>I actually always love online shopping but from November until January this becomes my only shopping outlet as I refuse to step foot in shops. People seem to go into psycho mode at this time of the year and I find going shopping really stressful; all manners seem to go out the window; people race you to get things and it's just really stressful and chaotic. I really don't get it. It seems to be like a competition to buy anything and people buy like it's going out of fashion.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Snow!!! - </b>Today is the first day we've had snow so that explains why I'm loving it. By tomorrow I'll hate it but for today I'm definitely loving it! It's really starting to feel like Christmas even though it's still almost 4 weeks away! I've actually been wanting to put my Christmas tree up but I haven't...I'm not that mad! Honestly! :D </div><div><br /></div><div><b>Twitter - </b>I've had twitter for a while now but I've only recently kind of figured out how to use it...I'm still a complete novice! I love reading other people's tweets though, some of them are really funny. It's also really nice to get to know other bloggers better, although there are some bloggers I follow on twitter but can't find their blogs :( I'm starting to see why it can be addictive though! If you would like to follow me on twitter, you can <a href="http://www.twitter.com/xlisax10">here.</a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Lisa xhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10242324029868316354noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657122566024838494.post-51451304096669470252010-10-22T18:23:00.003+01:002010-10-22T19:07:12.565+01:00Update and get 10% off at elemis<div style="text-align: justify;">It's been a while since I last done my last post and I was supposed to record photo evidence of the results of Rimmel's lash accelerator mascara, unfortunately my camera broke and had to be sent away to be repaired (which is bloody typical!) and the camera on my phone is completely useless, anyone else think the quality of camera phones is getting worse?, so to cut a long story short I wasn't able to take pictures of the 'growth' at different stages. I have got my camera back today and I will take a picture to compare the difference in lash length from the first day I applied it, which you can see <a href="http://xbeautifulinsideandoutx.blogspot.com/2010/09/rimmel-30-day-lash-challenge.html">here</a>, and how my lashes look now, which is 6 weeks later.</div><div><br /></div><div>I absolutely love this mascara but personally I don't think it has made my lashes grow at all, maybe my opinion will change when I compare the pictures. When I've applied the mascara my lashes are lengthened, my theory is that the shape and size of the wand allows the lashes to be pulled from the root which has a kind of straightening effect (you know how your hair seems a bit longer when you straighten it). I have also received compliments on how long my lashes are looked when wearing it but as I said when my lashes are bare I don't notice any increase.</div><div><br /></div><div>As a mascara I would recommend it 100%, I love that it doesn't clump at all after 2 coats, which is a problem I usually have with mascaras. It's is a little bit wet but not a bad as some i've tried: Maybelline Pulse Perfection for example! so that really doesn't bother.</div><div><br /></div><div>The only downsides of this mascara is that when I first started using it, I did experience lash loss and it almost made me stop using it as I worried that in my quest for long lashes I would end up with none! But I did try it again and thankfully I haven't had any more lashes fall out. The other downside is that it isn't waterproof, as someone who has a tendency this is an essential requirement when choosing a new mascara!</div><div><br /></div><div>If you haven't tried this Superdrug still have it on offer for £6.99 - usual price will be £8.99</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div> </div><div> <img src="http://www.blissbeauty.ie/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/devils-mint.jpg" /></div><div><br /></div><div>Until the end of October <a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=UnV9MZbaN58&offerid=160768.10000146&type=3&subid=0">elemis.com</a> have 2 offers running;</div><div><br /></div><div>The first is 10% off all elemis products, which you can claim by entering this promotional code: AFF1010</div><div><br /></div><div>The second is a free Devils Mint Body Scrub (20mls) with no minimum spend - To claim this enter promotional code AFFDEVIL</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>So thats my update for now, I will hopefully get a picture of my current lash length up tomorrow when I've been reacquainted with my camera! </div><div><br /></div><div>Have any of you tried Lash accelerator and are there any elemis products you recommend?</div>Lisa xhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10242324029868316354noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657122566024838494.post-1031862231104275512010-09-07T18:54:00.007+01:002010-09-07T19:42:06.751+01:00The Rimmel 30 day lash challenge!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSgckeZzkEBpfRu9M4YYXMUfVcVyLG5x1zWUiadf19AXF7UUFTzD83BLtJ8HcUzlfG1acBJCyq7SKsdgojhs4wLiV5ay6n4xKKQet_dcfLS1zrUqcmygT3lZTGxOXy3HjeKtFgHuOGw40/s1600/D_Rimmel_Lash_Accelerator_Mascara_Visual1.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 263px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5514243707704313378" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSgckeZzkEBpfRu9M4YYXMUfVcVyLG5x1zWUiadf19AXF7UUFTzD83BLtJ8HcUzlfG1acBJCyq7SKsdgojhs4wLiV5ay6n4xKKQet_dcfLS1zrUqcmygT3lZTGxOXy3HjeKtFgHuOGw40/s400/D_Rimmel_Lash_Accelerator_Mascara_Visual1.jpg" /></a><br /><div>So last week Rimmel launched their brand new mascara. They describe lash accelerator as 'a breakthrough...mascara that actually helps to promote the natural growth of beautifully long, remarkably strong lashes.' They also go on to say that 'Instantly, your lashes will look up to 80% longer, but then after 30 days of continued use, they'll appear up to 117% longer looking.' The 'breakthrough' is the growth lash complex which the mascara contains and claims to have 3 superior lash enhancing benefits:<br /><div><br /><br /><p>FORTIFIES - helps minimise lash loss (if I try to say this it comes out as 'lash losh'!)</p><br /><p>NOURISHES - supports lashes to grow strong and long</p><br /><p>RENEWS - helps repair and restore lashes</p><br /><p>All sounds good to me! :D</p><br /><br /><div>The length of my lashes isn't too bad, I would say they're probably average length. So anything that claims to makes them even longer is always going to be worth a go as I think I look like a drag queen with false lashes (no joke!) so they're a no go for me! </div><br /><br /><div>Currently there are a few places which have lash accelerator at a reduced price, I bought mine in Tesco for £6.99 and I have seen it in superdrug for the same price. The R.R.P is £8.99 and it comes in 2 colours - Black & brown.</div><br /><br /><div>Yesterday was my first day of using the mascara and I thought I would take pictures to document the effects (if any) the mascara has on my lashes over 30 days. The first pic is my natural lashes with nothing on and the next is after one coat of lash accelerator.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 230px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5514240091895553986" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjtPYt0GlxyoqmT9xIvKi8FAw-iF6KZKuJNXabbPZ1uJUybSOISUDJziRV2z8KyL2w_qjPFPzI_kuG3o7k50tGYnaV-f9SKobbYRxcCylkTqeDJvS9X0JIv2JExaFzdNbWqSsqlqiZU6w4/s400/IMG_9268.JPG" /></div></div><br /><br /><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 259px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5514240521057436530" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlDZrnnG0DPoJcbjW6JDAIk89Hnagh40JQhGoYMlp22-yA1yCInuaLmrBPbpik0SrxODZwvIzQlz8sPP6uf94GRoN0u90l_0EefSIz3srd5rqDXyoGaQLeX8y9B5zCsq_YzGrW-P7w2HU/s400/IMG_9267.JPG" /></p><br /><p></p><br /><p>As a mascara I really like it. The wand is small which means I can get to the tiny lashes and get right to the lash line comfortably (and without making a mess!). I think being able to get the wand right into the lash line (something I usually struggle to do) had a pulling effect on my lashes making them look slightly longer. Nowhere near up to the 80% claim though. However, I will continue to use the mascara for the 30 days and cross my fingers and toes that it works!</p></div>Lisa xhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10242324029868316354noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657122566024838494.post-43182707427076331022010-08-15T16:51:00.005+01:002010-08-15T17:31:48.566+01:00Frankie Sandford hair!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZCHnxtxd_8nOpcMiPmHoOeQVWKwcviHQjOBhBQ75BwhFzv7GmDsFgUj8ehm7_8S4SlGUFs3-ugGDKtIcyrCQtLny4uDlE-xcES4yAvRBdD3CcBW74U1c82km5aVjv7HtT9-FOcvjgfGI/s1600/Frankie+Sandford+frankie.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 254px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5505672584437739154" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZCHnxtxd_8nOpcMiPmHoOeQVWKwcviHQjOBhBQ75BwhFzv7GmDsFgUj8ehm7_8S4SlGUFs3-ugGDKtIcyrCQtLny4uDlE-xcES4yAvRBdD3CcBW74U1c82km5aVjv7HtT9-FOcvjgfGI/s400/Frankie+Sandford+frankie.jpg" /></a> <span style="font-size:85%;"> (pic I took with me)<br /></span><div><br /><br /><div>For a while now I've really loved Frankie Sandford's (UK girl band - The Saturdays) hair but to me it's <em>really </em>short! The stylist was more anxious than me which I have to admit made me feel slightly uneasy and all my doubts came back but after the first cut it was too late!</div><div><br /><br /></div><div>So 2 hours later this was the result...</div><div><br /></div><div><br /><br /></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 322px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5505671729301876994" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRvQDSu_1pPh7JVf4S5iQQ0lqiK_PKn7rnPIOjw5brZN3WavtaaO85qXr1e1GkoOqP8Ic3KFh4OrEn6orJxulF-L5S2MIuRmCNQo7sFr9mxYombf8dAD-iCXLLM96xhtx1wdagJ1yzTog/s400/40600_10150267924355553_527010552_14189686_3886025_n.jpg" /> </div><div> </div><div>I'm happy with it, it's a great change and everyone seems to like it, but I do miss having long hair, and it's only been a day! The great thing is now all the bleach and damaged hair from highlights is gone! My hair now feels really healthy. I've not tried to style it own my own yet but I'm hoping it will be easy...fingers (and toes) crossed!</div><div> </div><div>It's definitely the shortest my hair has ever been and the most drastic haircut I've ever had but I've now come to the conclusion that I won't know what I like or what suits me unless I try it. If I don't...it's hair so it will grow back and at the very worst, there's always hair extensions (which I was assured it would still be long enough for clip-ins) :)<br /></div><div></div>Lisa xhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10242324029868316354noreply@blogger.com19tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657122566024838494.post-29475649377352695672010-05-12T22:13:00.005+01:002010-05-12T22:36:57.300+01:00I went for Ice cream and left with raspberry (NOTD)<div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1o2O7OGUO3C0GqivCSnVtoCIVZfQJClp5GRjucpip3Tv-rHY0jcGKxDU2w-DbQ5CexBJQY8AtchYJ4PWEBnu3JF3o3QRO4gvnh5mFao0ZiN0xFOtIRZqSoZlJc4-XeCCIcVV9qAn178M/s1600/IMG_8279.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470495617286341570" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1o2O7OGUO3C0GqivCSnVtoCIVZfQJClp5GRjucpip3Tv-rHY0jcGKxDU2w-DbQ5CexBJQY8AtchYJ4PWEBnu3JF3o3QRO4gvnh5mFao0ZiN0xFOtIRZqSoZlJc4-XeCCIcVV9qAn178M/s400/IMG_8279.JPG" /></a><br /><br /><div>I am seriously lacking with the blog again! I love doing it as well but I just don't seem to have the time. Anyway I went to superdrug last week to buy Berry Ice cream and Mushroom from the new Barry M nail paint collection but the were sold out, so this polish caught my eye, I don't know how long it's been out but I haven't seen this in stock before. I really like the colour and it seems to apply better than any other Barry M nail paint i've bought before. I was surprised though when I saw the colour, to me this isn't what I would describe as a raspberry I think this looks like a classic red which is what I thought it would be. I thought raspberry was more a pink-y colour? </div><br /><div></div><div> </div><div>This is what the colour looks like on the Barry M website:</div><div> </div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 40px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 112px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470498659039468418" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQMlkEAu49iVfZoc9c7n7pjnln-RiyovMM8rKH8opprejr6lCgx56uTZbFaGkoWvwZ2z3QBE03YCbqMZ4F-bJ5NA39UmRmorH_gD-76fjXhUWaS6xFPK_R5LrWfxhBovbCGrpsOFGjmSo/s400/389.jpg" /></div></div><br /><p>I definitely don't think this looks the same at all, obviously seeing a colour online is not going to be 100% accurate but personally I don't think this is close. I'm glad I bought it in person because I liked the colour and not online where it does look more raspberry like!</p><p>Has anyone else bought something which doesn't look anything like it's supposed to?</p>Lisa xhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10242324029868316354noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2657122566024838494.post-9459090572160086232010-04-30T20:02:00.016+01:002010-09-08T16:09:16.272+01:00The Primark experienceSo, today when I was out I ended up stranded in Primark looking for shelter from the torrential rain and hailstones (I hate hailstones! Painful things!) and of course I did what all girls know best! Shop!!<br /><br />It's probably the first time I've been in Primark in about a year. I went through a little faze of going in a LOT! But I kind of got bored with it, I was buying things purely because of how cheap they were and everyone was wearing the same clothes. After today however I feel I may become a regular visitor again.<br /><br />Here are some of the things I bought:<br /><br /><br /><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixJQGTDWU8ScsijfeDjRzC48sXJE7T9QuzqchjPtTXwNq58O54gqmvti7za0ah9LCUqM0Qq8PCqSWZ5kK_ZlrRKR4sVk92zcRc87cFvcx9tQQJyVCsPVZESm78mLH_ie_aXdYloE8sNYQ/s1600/3.PNG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 236px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5466012144504112130" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixJQGTDWU8ScsijfeDjRzC48sXJE7T9QuzqchjPtTXwNq58O54gqmvti7za0ah9LCUqM0Qq8PCqSWZ5kK_ZlrRKR4sVk92zcRc87cFvcx9tQQJyVCsPVZESm78mLH_ie_aXdYloE8sNYQ/s400/3.PNG" /></a><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 373px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5466012559900504930" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsLOZMwrbjFNB7QTeS8DAfNEf3Vu0OB5xP0KC5IF9aqYkpkhezIompJhMeBxRPCZMkiAm0-jKWde9kfl4mitxjFZLDOz7QMws-9AczjJdav0TsnBEFtAj-xB0e3KzvxumectFz-QwKjSY/s400/1.PNG" /><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 300px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5466016797196556674" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUP5yk_3MFNWQcCLZdkgHXcelV3WhJ1kIf6cf0GmE9E3AYsZnbOr4sxLzRVIYcwv2WdilPGo4vlIBw568zod81ucVq9GbbvIWZbCdXFu21SIsvoMcANbC56ChZZIUHGYtNjvwxxzi9m5Y/s400/IMG_8206.JPG" /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisZFjLBCy2I8iCQAG4QHGsIiVWKW6eIn_wBj5ochGL6831UmvtyywglXASfeYpqv8yAG8oU4ARoj4_Sx8o7UGMyko3dEmfDskjl6QB-wH-wyKBOKIPgL1WcijYBZHu28pb2BYSRGznX4w/s1600/IMG_8204.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 300px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5466015841279292002" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisZFjLBCy2I8iCQAG4QHGsIiVWKW6eIn_wBj5ochGL6831UmvtyywglXASfeYpqv8yAG8oU4ARoj4_Sx8o7UGMyko3dEmfDskjl6QB-wH-wyKBOKIPgL1WcijYBZHu28pb2BYSRGznX4w/s400/IMG_8204.JPG" /></a><br /><br /></div></div></div></div></div></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><div>To be honest clothes from primark aren't the greatest quality but for the price you can't really complain. I have to say despite reading good reviews of their products, mainly from their studio line, I was still sceptical about the quality but the products are cheap so there's not really a lot to lose in trying them. So I went on to e.l.f and I ordered a few things. I only purchased 1 thing from the studio line. I was more interested in testing the £1.50 products to see what the quality was like.</div><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><div></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5444565017429577394" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3LE5kzM4hcmXU5PxPvYdRfYljwcSrMgsWCLH721zAHODO_08UVlvHpiM1EKTfao6KaMaC1T8fmuN62bf7hyphenhyphenNLk2hnAk8oAQzrwLqtMlbEFJnXqANMsyszLWbfQe0BVgwaqanX1hLnSgk/s400/IMG_7872.JPG" /> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5444565645301333266" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoWgVHBYugRU9yUj_6c0nRCUFNhDyWqZyCng11swb4dAPVH_4wXEDaPzJomMW-qtyoKpolJmqVCP79pNd6phfOCFAIkoJNPFh9NK7JDowE1aMCtwlLMpWl3fY3umhvTe3PP4-hiPaDz6g/s400/IMG_7874.JPG" /> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5444567088876341634" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiffrNKI2-oLfcxDgEJgRrzNjcuWFXcsWN_szSnWzzvUI9cnkv-gbI8dGqZ-_zxlp0VNv9Ys2bFZv5nEb4q1RioLyEzt1jXFZMoePOxhOU9qC56XJDmYvvJ2oo4xgIc2sCPmBkXPq20jeo/s400/IMG_7880.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5444566491638722770" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPhzxLzJF2EmYZzApAxgzoDYIpIR4f4lx7Qt7Nq5o-NIJwoMFkJpo9RYm4XHrVUfqLHNDdY177kVrt-O28JE8bmilQsBFff3yqEdInARtH6pzCKBTp9FE675OPbJzkHMvQqpwcPND2O80/s400/IMG_7878.JPG" /> So I bought<br /><br /><div><em>* Studio Bronzer in Golden</em></div><br /><div><em>* Mineral Lipstick in Nicely Nude</em></div><div><em></em> </div><div><em>* Brightening Eyeliner in Ash</em></div><br /><div><em>* Eyeliner Brush</em></div><div><em></em> </div><div><em>* Tinted Moisturizer in Honey</em></div><br /><div><em>* Natural Lash Kit </em></div><div><em></em> </div><div><em>* Natural Radiance Blusher in Flushed</em></div><br /><br /><div>I'll be honest I didn't like everything I bought, but then you can't expect to like everything I suppose! The products I didn't like are:</div><br /><div>- The tinted moisturizer - I absolutely hated this! It made my face look really oily (well oilier than it already is!) and It felt quite sticky too. It has a fragrance to it as well which I think you'll either love or hate. I didn't like the smell either, it reminds me of something but I really can't think what.</div><div> </div><div>- The brightening eyeliner - I bought this in Ash because the Black was sold out, I'm quite boring and usually just stick with Black eyeliner this wasn't far off though nor was it too drastic for me! :) This cost £1.50 so I wasn't expecting it to be good and I didn't like it. I did however like the sharpener that came with it.</div><br /><br /><div>Out of everything I liked the Eyeliner Brush the best. I think it works really well for being so cheap. It probably won't last long and I haven't washed it so I don't know how well it will wash but for £1.50 you can't go wrong. Also I think the Blusher is really good for £1.50 too. It's a lovely colour and it applies really well.</div><br /><br /><div>The products I really wanted were the studio bronzer and the mineral lipstick. I do really like the bronzer it's highly pigmented. I did try and swatch it but my camera wouldn't pick up the colours properly. I wouldn't wear this bronzer in the day though personally I think it's a going out bronzer. The mineral lipstick as well is nice but for me it's not moisturizing enough. I have really dry lips and find that I have to wear Vaseline with this lipstick.</div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div></div></div></div>Lisa xhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10242324029868316354noreply@blogger.com8
